A new patch for the Dawn of War II PC game is scheduled to be released this Monday, April 13th. It seems that the main focus of this patch is to fix the population cap issues, while also providing some extra smaller balance changes.
Here is a list of some highlights from the upcoming patch, info is taken directly from the Dawn of War II community forums:
• Implemented final fixes for the Population Cap issue as noted in Patch 1.1.3. This included reverting the temporary changes made in Patch 1.1.3.
• Tyranid Warrior Adrenal Gland upgrade damage reduced from 52 to 40
• Energy Shields no longer regenerate while active – This includes the Zoanthrope, Falcon, Hive Tyrant, Warlock, Force Commander, Mekboy and Techmarine
• Energy Shield conversion modifier reduced from .2 to .25
• Energy Shields now have an 8 second toggle on / toggle off time.
• Falcon Energy regeneration reduced from 3 to .5
• Fixed an issue where campaign completion achievements were sometimes not awarded
• Fixed an issue with automatching code to help provide better quality matches based on TrueSkill™ Rankings.
• Fixed an issue allowing players with mismatched data to be grouped together.

The patch is also supposed to fix an issue where users were not receiving achievements for completing the campaign. Definitely looking forward to that fix, as I've beaten the campaign twice and didn't receive the achievement (cause that's what games are all about of course). It will be nice if the achievements are automatically awarded to those who have already beaten the game, I really don't feel like beating it a third time just to get that achievement.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one that will be happy with an improved match making system. I'm finally in the TS20 range, but I remember when i was a TS10 and under I would constantly be matched with TS30+. It was a good learning experience, but it definitely didn't help my record any! Even now I'm still getting mismatched pretty frequently, so it will be nice to see this system fixed/updated.
Hopefully a bigger patch will be released soon with more balance changes and updates. Until then I guess us Dawn of War II players should be happy we're at least getting this!
