Sorry for the delayed announcement! If you're wondering why this site hasn't been updated in awhile, here is the reason:

In late October/early November of 2009 we had launched a new video game website called Level Up News. Since then, all of the latest video game content has posted at Level Up News and we have recruited a very talented staff to help keep the site updated with the latest in video game news, information, reviews, and deals.

As of right now there are no plans to continue posting the latest in video game content on Video Game Ninja. I may use this site/space for other video game related content in the future, but for now, all resources are being focused towards Level Up News.

Don't worry though, you'll find all the same great content and much much more. We even launched the Level Up News Forums very recently, so check it out!

I think the picture above says it all, because that is what this week is all about. For me at least anyway! I still have my fingers crossed on being one of the lucky to win the Fortune Hunter Edition, but either way, my pre-order from Amazon will be arriving tomorrow!

So we all know that I'm totally stoked for Uncharted 2, but for those looking for something different, you won't be disappointed. Brutal Legend seems to have a pretty huge following, and Fallout 3: Collector's Edition is sure to be a huge hit. I'm actually excited for Magna Carta 2 as well. But that may have to wait till the holidays hit and I've put a good amount of time into Uncharted 2.

Oh, and don't forget the awesome buy 2 get 1 free deal Toys R Us is running this week - couldn't have come at a better time!

Coming back to work after a three day weekend is tough, but one thing that helps ease the pain is looking at a nice healthy list of new video game releases. This weeks list of new video games should offer something for every gamer, as some pretty hyped up games hit store shelves this week. Here we go:

A lot of gamers will be picking up their pre-orders of The Beatles: Rock Band, but I'm looking forward to Mini Ninjas! The toughest part, of course, is choosing which console to unleash my mini ninja power on.

And as a new owner of a PS3 slim, I'm highly considering Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition.

Xbox 360 gamers will also want to check out the Capcom Triple Hits Platinum Pack, as it includes 3 great games, one of which I just finished a week ago (Devil May Cry 4).

And for gamers looking to go portable, you have two new DSi color options. They may not be limited edition, but pink does give off a bit of masculinity and intimidation - both of which are very important in the gaming world.

Check out the roundup of this weeks latest video game releases across all consoles, handhelds, and the PC.

It appears that X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be the biggest hit, as the movie releases this weekend as well. Not sure if I will pick it up or not, but I'll definitely be seeing the movie. Personally I'm looking forward to one of the Nintendo DS releases this week!

IGN.com reports that EA has announced that BOTH Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu will be gracing the cover of Madden NFL 10.

Are you a fan of the Madden series? If you are, definitely share your thoughts and opinions on EA's choices, and the fact that this is the first time that two athletes will be on the cover of Madden NFL.

Great deal for Guitar Hero fans out there - Best Buy has Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 for only $10. This deal is for the game only. Still not bad. Also, save on shipping by selecting in-store pickup.

WiiMotionPlus? What is that you ask? Well, if you own a Wii, you know first hand that as cool as the WiiMote is, it's not the most precise controller out there. Nintendo has developed a new add-on peripheral called the WiiMotionPlus, which seems to attach to the bottom of the Wii Remote. The WiiMotionPlus will allow for greater precision, and "Should" also track the players arm orientation and position.

Originally, the WiiMotionPlus was only going to be included in a bundle with the Wii Sports Resort Game. But EA just announced that for a limited time, the new Tiger Woods 10 game will include the WiiMotionPlus.


Not a bad deal for players looking to get the WiiMotionPlus, but not looking forward to buying Wii Sports Resort. And if you were planning on getting Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii, I'm sure you already already had an eye on the WiiMotionPlus. Great deal to get both the Tiger Woods 10 game and the WiiMotionPlus add-on at the same time and at a bundled price!

Here's one for both the hardcore Ghostbuster fans and collector fans. Amazon is offering an exclusive Slimer Edition of the Ghostbusters video game for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. Included in the Slimer Edition will be:

• Slimer Bust - created by the original movie sculptor
• Exlusive Ghostbuster minimates
• Exclusive Ghostbuster console skin
• Exclusive Ecto 1 keychain

All of that, including the game, for $129.99. A little pricey if you ask me, but I can see collectors going after all the extra goodies. It would have been nice to see a promo that included DVD's of the original movies, but that would probably ruin all other marketing ideas sale combo's companies have planned.
